REP Materials Development
Repertory Etudes Project (REP) generates multi-media volumes that provide access to American dance heritage for all types of dancers and a broad public. REP develops its materials with partners, leading pilot programming, creating contextual materials, and producing instructional and performance videos. Partnerships are built through Dancing Legacy's residency programs.
Dance is still most powerfully transmitted person-to-person, with technological tools enhancing, but not replacing that intimate encounter. Dancing Legacy trains dancers to teach Repertory Etudes through a reflective, dynamic practice that communicates the techniques and styles of the choreographers. Our training is currently individualized and by invitation. We are working towards offering public training in order to build a larger pool of people who can authentically share the Repertory Etudes.
